Our Story
Jason Pooler started Tri-Turf Sod in 1991 with his dad Carl, mom Georgia, and brother Mike. Together they planted the first 5 acres of Bermuda in Paris, Tennessee — a family operation from the start.
Over three decades, those 5 acres have grown into 1,200 acres of Bermuda, Zoysia, Fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass — making Tri-Turf one of the largest sod farms in the Mid-South. Through changing markets and growing seasons, the Pooler family has stayed focused on one thing: producing the highest quality sod for their customers.
The next generation is fully in the business. Jacob has been around sod his entire life — he was selling pallets to his bus driver, his teacher, and his baseball coach by the time he was five. Preston studied Agriculture Business at the University of Tennessee at Martin and is now part of the team. The Pooler family isn't going anywhere.
What We Do
We grow, harvest, deliver, and install sod for every type of project — golf courses and athletic fields, commercial developments, residential homes, and everything in between. We sell to and install for landscapers and contractors — not every sod farm does that. We also offer hydroseeding, sprigging, and field drainage for large-acreage projects.

Farm Crew
Our production team is mostly local people who've been with us 5 to 20 years. They handle everything from soil prep and planting to fertilization, irrigation, pest management, and harvesting. When you've been growing sod as long as they have, you know what a good field looks like before it ever leaves the ground.
Delivery Drivers
Our CDL drivers deliver sod from Memphis to Knoxville and Paducah to Bowling Green — and everywhere in between. They coordinate timing with customers and place pallets and rolls exactly where you need them. Covering that kind of territory only works with drivers who know the roads and take the job seriously.
Installation Crews
Our install crews handle everything from grading and soil prep to laying sod and hydroseeding. Most of our foremen have been with us over a decade, and it shows — they work clean, they work fast, and the finished product speaks for itself.
Office & Sales
Our sales and office team handles quoting, scheduling, and dispatching — commercial and residential. We have multiple estimators on staff and the programs to do takeoffs on any project. Call during business hours and you'll talk to a real person who can get you answers.
